(Gameplay video on Xbox 360)
My rating: 4 out 5
Developer: Wasatchware
Platforms: Xbox, Windows PC, and later IOS, Android, and MAC.
Comments:
Although Road-Trip Sierra Nevada is not anywhere near being the best racing game out there. I feel that it has a lot of potential and if played right, can be a lot of fun. I feel that you really need to be a racing game enthusiast to enjoy this one!
Improvements:
I'm not so sure that Wasatchware will be making any improvements, or sequels to Sierra-Nevada Road Trip, but if they do... I would recommend that they fix the cars floating problems and add some better selection of music. I enjoyed the music that they chose, but it does it get tiring after a while.
What I liked most:
What I liked most about Sierra-Nevada Road Trip is the ability to drive in a first-person point of view, on a long freeway. Just like the first racing games that came out back in the late 80's and early 90's. I enjoyed weaving in and out of the cars and trucks.
What I least liked:
I didn't enjoy that the cars looked like they were floating over the road and I didn't like that the game just said game over when I crossed through the last check point. I wished that they would have said congratulations, or something.
My final comments:
In conclusion I really enjoyed playing Sierra-Nevada Road Trip and I feel that it and it's developers Wasatchware have a lot of potential creating video games. I feel that Sierra-Nevada is a great game that should not be missed by hard core racing game enthusiast.
This game was great. It would be better if it had tourist and local modes. With the local having an m60 mounted on top. Lol
